CLARY
Jan 20, 2010
On January 12, 2010 at the age of 84, surrounded by family and friends, Goldie Clary joined her husband Herb in their final resting place in heaven.
Goldie is survived by her children Mitchell of Manitouwadge, Linda (Don) of Thunder Bay and Brent (Tracey) of Ottawa.  She is remembered as a loving and generous person by her grandchildren Gordon (Amy), Melissa, Danielle, Connor and Liana and by her great grandchildren (or GG as she was known) Jayden, Mercedes, Jesstina and Landon.
Goldie and her husband Herb were married in 1951 and began their life together in Geraldton, Ontario where they started their family.  In 1956, they continued their lifelong adventure by moving to the newly formed community of Manitouwadge.  It was in those early years that she was very involved in the community enjoying bowling and curling.  She also formed the first TOPS group and later became known as the “popcorn lady” at the local Strand Theatre.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Manitouwadge General Hospital for their kindness and professional care.  The family also wishes to acknowledge two of Goldie’s very special friends, Barb St. Pierre and Gail Isaacs, who made her last few years on this earth a more special place.
At Goldie’s request there will be no funeral service.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Goldie’s name to the Manitouwadge General Hospital would be appreciated.
