Donaldson, Paul Alexander Gordon

Born in Orangeville, Ontario, February 15, 1933. It is with great sadness, the family of Paul Donaldson announces his passing on June 10, 2010. Paul passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side.
Paul is survived by his wife of 55 years Marleen Donaldson and his children Daniel (Simone) of Manitouwadge, Judy (Pete)  of Langley, BC, Gerry of Terrace Bay, ON, and Randy of Thunder ?Bay, ON, as well his grandchildren, Sabrina, Stacey, Bailey, Paul, Robyn, Darcie, Kelsey and Kayla.
Paul is also survived by his brother Bert Donaldson, and his sisters Joanne Ashley and Cheryl Donaldson as well as many nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by daughter Laurie in 1992 and son Martin in 2002.
Paul was a long-time resident of Manitouwadge and was an active member of the community for many years. Paul was instrumental in the establishment of the Manitouwadge Municipal Golf Course, and the baseball diamond. Paul was an avid curler, golfer and baseball player, who promoted sports in the small town of Northwestern Ontario.
For the last six years Paul and Marleen divided their time between their home in Harlingen, Texas and Manitouwadge. He will be missed by his many friends in the U.S. and Canada.
Paul will be sadly missed by his family who will be holding a private memorial service at a later date.
A special heartfelt Thank You to Kelly Burns and Sandra O’Neil for the TLC they provided Paul.
