Thumbs from April 25, 2012 edition
Thumbs DOWN,
To all those who submit poorly worded and incoherent comments to The Echo by either thumbs up/down or letters to the editor. We're lucky enough to have a format to express ourselves, so lets try and use it responsibly.
Thumbs UP,
Huge thumbs up to the Manitouwadge High School sports coaches!! Volunteering your time and energy is an amazing gift to our children!
Thumbs DOWN,
to our Township for the horrible job keeping our streets plowed and sanded during our "surprise" April snowstorm...and don't tell me it was because the town was not prepared for it because my guess is that the excuse for our streets not being swept over the past month is the expectation of more snow and more sanding!
Thumbs DOWN,
to people who use Riding Lawn Mowers as modes of transportation and not for the machine’s intended purpose.
Thumbs DOWN,
to people who don't obey the erected signs and gates indicating " no access". These areas (such as the pedestrian way behind the old highschool) have been blocked off for a reason- usually with the safety of pedestrians in mind. So the next time you are attempting to use one of these blocked off areas instead of ignoring warnings that are there for your own good- take the long way home.
